If you need a huge, indoor play day that keeps your little ones moving and exploring, HANABABY WORLD is a great way to get some stagnant energy out. Its located on the second floor of Royal City Centre Mall in New Westminster and delivers lots of space, multiple themed activity zones, and safe, engaging play structures — perfect for little crawlers, walkers and movers.
open play hours and pricing
HANABABY WORLD is open 7 days a week, Sunday – Monday 10am-6pm and for kids 1-10 years old—though I’d say it’s better suited for toddlers or kids up to 5.
Weekday Admission (Full-Day Play) is $26.99 for 1 child + 1 adult (unlimited full-day playtime & in-and-out privileges). Extra kids are $19.99 each and extra adults are $7 each. Infants under 1 year old are free (accompanying adults pay the $7 adult fee).
Weekend & Holiday Admission is $26.99 for 1 child + 1 adult (2 hours of play) or $32.99 for 1 child + 1 adulft or unlimited full-day playtime. Extra kids, adults and infants charges are same as the above.
They also offer multi-visit passes and special seasonal promotions that can save money if you visit often. Visit their website for more information.
a massive play wonderland
HANABABY WORLD feels big and open with so much room to explore. There are varied play zones that stretch little legs and spark imagination:
- Ball pit — classic fun that you can slide down into.
- Soft obstacle course — perfect for climbers and crawlers alike.
- Trampoline zone — great for bigger toddlers who need to bounce off steam.
- Play cars and ride-around space — zooming around is always a hit and there’s plenty of road.
- Themed rooms — pretend play stations like a grocery store, princess room, doctor’s office, and fire department make every space feel like a new adventures.
location quick tips
- There is 4hr free parking at Royal City Centre with an escalator or (stroller-friendly) elevator up to the play gym.
- Strollers can be parked near the entrance along with your shoes and belongings.
- The floor plan is open with lots of space for you to follow around and keep an eye on your babies. I went with two friends and five babies between us and had plenty of wiggle room.
- There is a party room space available with tables, chairs and a kitchen where you can stop for a snack, but it needs some love. The decor is more office space than kids extravaganza.
- There is only a single bathroom with no mirror or change table — I would suggest opting for the mall bathrooms if you have time.
best time to visit
You’ll find reviews on how busy HANABABY WORLD can get, but we were there 3-4:30pm on a Monday and it was quiet. As we left, the after school/work crowd started packing in and I expect weekends to be much livelier.
This New West indoor playground is a must hit play destination with tons of space to charge around, but stick to weekdays during the day to get the least amount of chaos!
