Frind Winery in West Kelowna is more than just a stop on a bachelorette winery tour—it’s a full-on family-friendly destination. It’s Canada’s only beachfront winery, which means you can sip a glass of wine or post up at a picnic table with wood-oven fired pizza while your baby takes in the fresh air and lake views.

The property is stunning and very stroller-friendly with lots of open space: picnic tables in the grass, cabanas on the beach and a full cafe and restaurant. Depending on your vibe, you can grab an iced coffee and a treat and walk along the beach, grab a few family-style salads and pizzas to share or do a wine tasting.

I love Frind so much that I (tipsily) signed up as a member at this winery 400km away from home. Members are able to get free tastings, exclusively book reservations at the patio restaurant and order biannual wine shipments.

The highlight was that we put our little guy in the lake for the first time here. He hated it, but it made for a lifelong memory! The backstory of Frind is super interesting as well; the owner is the creator of Plenty of Fish.

Tips:

Bring a sun hat and sun protection; the picnic tables are tented but there isn’t much shade on the grounds
Weekday mornings or early afternoons are quieter and less crowded with a stroller
The bathrooms are baby-friendly with a changing station
No need to bring your own picnic supplies; Frind provides plates, cutlery, water and condiments
